RESPONSIBILITIES
We are currently recruiting for a postdoctoral associate in our Computational Discovery group in the area of bioinformatics (code: AS5-2). The primary research area will be in mouse and human genetics, focusing on the interface with functional genomics technologies. Possible projects include developing and applying algorithms for QTL and eQTL analysis and/or novel array-based resequencing. The research will be conducted in close collaboration with the experimental discovery groups in the genetics and genomics departments.REQUIREMENTS
The ideal candidate will have a Ph.D. in Genetics or Biology (or related field) with some programming and/or statistical experience, or a Ph.D. in Computer Science (or related field) with a graduate-level background in biology. Excellent communication skills, solid publication record, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-disciplinary environment are essential.LOCALE
