The Translational Genomics Research Institute (TGen) is a non-profit biomedical research institute located in Phoenix, AZ whose mission is to make and translate genomic discoveries into advances in human health (http:///www.tgen.org).
We are looking for a mid-level programmer analyst to join our dynamic team. The selected candidate will need to work with scientists, bioinformaticians, and other application developers to design, develop, maintain and support web - based scientific analysis and visualization tools.REQUIREMENTS
3+ years software development experience encompassing the entire SW lifecycle.
2+ years of experience in developing web applications that interact with databases (Oracle/IBM DB2/MySQL) using HTML, JavaScript, J2EE Technologies (JSP, Servlets, EJBâ??s), Apache Struts, JSF, Hibernate, FOP, XML, XSLT on Windows/UNIX environment.
Strong experience with object-oriented concepts, practices, procedures, and design patterns.
Thorough understanding of standard enterprise application issues, including scalability, performance, reliability, data contention, availability, compatibility, etc.
Excellent Communication and team skills.PREFERENCES
Working Knowledge of Java Application Servers (IBM Websphere, Weblogic, Tomcat)
Knowledge/ Experience in .NET/C/C++Perl
Healthcare industry experience.
Knowledge of HIPPA FDA standards complianceREQUIREMENTS
