JOB SUMMARY:
The writer for this position will be responsible for creating and updating software documentation for our bioinformatics products. The documentation will be available in online, PDF, and printed formats.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
The writer will work closely with the computational biology development teams to research, plan, write, update, and coordinate technical and editorial reviews for product documentation. In addition, the writer will participate with the development team in the planning, specification, and testing phases of the products. The writer will also contribute to projects that improve the quality of the documentation and documentation processes.
REQUIREMENTS:
Technical/Writer with 3+ years experience writing for a science or engineering audience. Pluses:
- Bachelors degree in engineering or science. A masters degree is preferred.
- Knowledge of MATLAB, programming, statistics, bioinformatics analysis, and experimental molecular biology.
