    RESPONSIBILITIES

    Our â??Member of Technical Staffâ?? positions develop innovative technologies, prototypes, components, processes and/or algorithms in their area[s] of specialty to successfully execute contract work or develop new business opportunities. Our â??Member of Technical Staffâ?? positions will generally have job responsibilities dealing with solving complex problems, creating technical innovations, acting independently or with little supervision and serving as a liaison internally [with technical and business development staff] and externally [with clients, prospective clients and other interested parties]. Our Members of Technical Staff can also expect to have responsibilities or involvement in the areas of Leadership, Administration and Business Development as it relates to their particular business area. Chosen candidate must possess excellent communication [verbal, written and listening] and organizational skills, and be an experienced group speaker/presenter. Experience in managing projects and/or tasks strongly preferred.

    The selected candidate will focus on informatics development and application in the life sciences, including the design and development of concept demonstrations and prototypes. Responsibilities include design and development of system architectures and applications for informatics in the life sciences, including bio-, bio-chemical, clinical, and medical informatics, particularly as related to the development of drugs and vaccines.

    REQUIREMENTS

    Position requires a MS in Computer Science and 5+ years experience (or related degree and equivalent experience) in informatics development and application in the life sciences, including bio-, bio-chemical, clinical, and medical informatics. Experience with standard DBMS products (e.g., Oracle, DBII) is required.

    Due to requirements for US Government contractors, this position requires US citizenship or permanent resident status. Projects may require US Government Security Clearance; therefore a current Security Clearance or the availability to obtain Security Clearance is required.

    PREFERENCES

    Experience with federated and distributed databases is desired. Experience in the design and development of software products for technical applications, including object oriented design and development, is desired
