    BACKGROUND

    The University of Kansas Information and Telecommunications Laboratory has one opening for a postdoctoral researcher for a one year appointment.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    Perform research in machine learning and bioinformatics as assigned by the supervisor and work in an interdisciplinary research team; write reports, papers, and presentations describing the work; other duties as assigned.

    REQUIREMENTS

    Earned doctorate in computer science, bioinformatics, statistics, or a closely related scientific discipline; research experience in machine learning/statistical learning; able to program in at least one of the languages: MATLAB, C, and C++.

    PREFERENCES

    Research experience in bioinformatics; published papers in machine learning/bioinformatics areas, and familiarity with graph theories and network modeling.
