BACKGROUND
The Bioinformatics Program at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte invites applications for multiple tenure-track and tenured faculty positions in Bioinformatics. UNC-Charlotte is building a new, $35 million, state-of-the-art Bioinformatics facility. New faculty will have the opportunity to help shape the new Bioinformatics Center, and will benefit from interaction with colleagues currently being recruited in other disciplines.REQUIREMENTS
We seek outstanding scientists with a Ph.D in Bioinformatics or a related discipline, whose research programs focus on 1)computational methods for genomics and genetics or 2)computational methods for structural biology of proteins or nucleic acids. Faculty members are expected to sustain an externally funded research program, have a stong commitment to graduate education and contribute to a vigorous, collaborative research environment.HOW TO APPLY
