    DESCRIPTION

    GeneMines, located in Chennai, India, is accepting applications for its bioinformatics internship program. We are looking for candidates with a degree/diploma in bioinformatics and with thefollowing qualifications:
    • Good understanding of molecular biology
    • Sound knowledge of bioinformatics databases and software packages
    • Experience with MySQL/Oracle and CGI/PHP
    • Experience with programming languages such as Perl, C, C++ or Java
    • Motivation and aptitude for learning new research skills.
    The successful candidates will work with an existing team to design and develop bioinformatics tools and databases.

    GeneMines is a subsidiary of Genome Technologies, USA and is involved in a variety of research projects including the structure of eukaryotic genomes and disease gene discovery.
