RESPONSIBILITIES
- The incumbent provides programming and technology support to the efforts of the Genome Center for Molecular Library Screening Center Network.
- Designs and develops software applications with emphasis on web-based applications; maintains and improves upon existing systems and software;
- Performs day-to-day system administration functions required for proper operation of computer systems as needed.
- Participates in planning and implementation upgrades and new software and hardware installations;
REQUIREMENTS
Requires a Bachelor's degree or equivalent in education, training and experience, plus two (2) years of related experience.
Additional Position-Specific Minimum Qualifications:
- Object-oriented programming experience with database skills (J2EE, Java/Perl, HTML/JavaScript/CSS, PosigreSQL, LINUX, Windows Server 2003, Excel VBA).
- Excellent communication skills and a demonstrated ability to work independently with attention to detail is essential.
