    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • The incumbent provides programming and technology support to the efforts of the Genome Center for Molecular Library Screening Center Network.
    • Designs and develops software applications with emphasis on web-based applications; maintains and improves upon existing systems and software;
    • Performs day-to-day system administration functions required for proper operation of computer systems as needed.
    • Participates in planning and implementation upgrades and new software and hardware installations;
    writes technical specifications and documentation and performs other duties as assigned.

    REQUIREMENTS

    Requires a Bachelor's degree or equivalent in education, training and experience, plus two (2) years of related experience.

    Additional Position-Specific Minimum Qualifications:
    • Object-oriented programming experience with database skills (J2EE, Java/Perl, HTML/JavaScript/CSS, PosigreSQL, LINUX, Windows Server 2003, Excel VBA).
    • Excellent communication skills and a demonstrated ability to work independently with attention to detail is essential.

    COMPENSATION
