    Bioinformatics Programmer/Analyst

    ABOUT US

    GeneMines, a bioinformatics R&D Company located in Chennai India, has an immediate opening for an experienced Bioinformatics Programmer/Analyst. The successful candidate will work with an existing R&D team involved in advanced research projects, and design and develop bioinformatics tools and databases.

    DESCRIPTION

    • MS in Computer Science, Molecular Biology/Biochemistry, Bioinformatics or related field
    • 2+ years experience in bioinformatics research
    • Understanding of the fundamentals of molecular biology, and in-depth experience with bioinformatics databases and software packages
    • Proven biological database management and web development experience with MySQL, Oracle, PHP, CGI, and Perl DBI
    • Very strong, productive bioinformatics programming track record using programming languages such as Perl, C, C++, or Java
    • Experience in developing bioinformatics analysis pipelines; sequence, structure or expression analysis software
    • Superior organizational and project development/management skills
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, motivated and proactive
