BACKGROUND
We would like to bring to the attention of all qualified members of Bioinformatics community that we are looking for several new members of staff to fill positions of Bioinformaticians and Senior Bioinformaticians for the expression data analysis team. We are a well and privately funded company based in Northern Ireland and we are looking for the top quality people, both with experience and with potential, to support our rapid expansion in areas of genomics services and development of array based diagnostics for cancer. We are part of a large organisation and can offer combination of the dynamism and excitement of a start-up with stability of large international company. As a Bioinformatician or Senior Bioinformatician you will be responsible for performing experimental design and expression data analysis, managing projects and ensuring that schedules and specified quality standards are met. In addition, you will also deputise for supervisors/managers when appropriate, whilst retaining up to date knowledge of relevant scientific literature and data analysis techniques.REQUIREMENTS
Bioinformatician:
Candidates must have a post graduate qualification in Bioinformatics or a primary degree in computer science with a postgraduate qualification in biological science. He/she will have experience in the area of gene expression data mining and knowledge of statistical methods/software, public databases and other online Bioinformatics resources.
Senior Bioinformatician:
In addition to the above, the successful candidate for the Senior Bioinformatician role should have a proven track record and greater than 3 years experience in Bioinformatics, in particular but not exclusively in the field of microarray data analysis. The successful individual must have clearly demonstrated the ability to select and utilize appropriate statistical methods for microarray data analysis including normalization, clustering techniques, annotation and molecular pathway modelling. The candidate should also have experience in leading projects, mentoring junior staff, and possess excellent communication skills.

COMPENSATION:
Salary will commensurate with experience and accomplishments and will include 33.5 days holiday per year (including statutory days), company pension scheme, enhanced sick pay and maternity entitlements, healthcare plan and opportunities for learning and development.
