BACKGROUND
The Ohio State University Medical Center is the only academic medical center in central Ohio and is one of the largest health care programs in the region. Candidate will work with researchers and business analysts to aid in the statistical analysis of research and operational data. Candidate will work with software developers to aid in the design of applications that perform statistical analysis. Candidate will assist researchers in formulating data collection strategies in studies and clinical trials so as to maximize the likelihood of achieving viable conclusions.REQUIREMENTS
- Degree in statistics or biostatistics
- Degree or substantive coursework in biological sciences
- Experience with the practical application of SAS or SPSS in support of research
- 1 or more years of experience doing statistical analysis work in support of biomedical research
PREFERENCES
Recommended:
- Experience with SQL and data-mining tools (for relational databases)
- Data modeling experience
- Software development experience in an object-oriented language such as Java, .NET, or C++
