    BACKGROUND

We seek a highly motivated individual with excellent English written and oral communication skills and a doctoral degree in life sciences or statistics. REQUIREMENTS

The candidate should be comfortable in Linux and Windows environments and should be experienced in high-density oligonucleotide microarray data analysis. Extensive programming skills in R and good knowledge of relevant applications distributed via BioConductor are required. A key goal will be to participate in algorithm development for the analysis of data produced with a new type of microarray independent of genome annotation.

    LOCATION & TERMS

Our lab is a member of the Swiss Institute of Bioinformatics (SIB). The Biozentrum and the SIB provide an excellent IT infrastructure and a stimulating, international academic environment. The position is initially available for one year and can be renewed. Applications are accepted until the position is filled.
