REQUIREMENTS

We seek a highly motivated individual with excellent English oral and written communication skills and experience in high-throughput biological data processing. Our lab develops innovative bioinformatics tools for genome annotation and array data management/analysis.

The candidate should be comfortable in Linux and Windows environments (including administration) and should be experienced in Oracle/MySQL database management systems development/administration. Ongoing projects require programming in Perl, PHP as well as building web applications using Apache and mod_perl or PHP.

LOCATION & TERMS

Our lab is a member of the Swiss Institute of Bioinformatics (SIB). The Biozentrum and the SIB provide an excellent IT infrastructure and a stimulating, international academic environment. The position is initially available for one year and can be renewed. Applications are accepted until the position is filled.
