    Education: Bioinformatics course--Sweden

    AIM

    The course aims to give the student a solid foundation in the basic methods of bioinformatics. It will cover the theories, algorithms and practical applications of computer-based methods for analysis of DNA/RNA/protein sequences, protein structures, biological databases, microarray analysis and functional genomics.

    CREDITS

    10 credits (15 ECTS credits).

    PREREQUISITES

    The equivalent of: 40 Swedish University Credits (SUC) in Biology, including 10 SUC of General and Molecular Genetics and 10 SUC in Cell Biology or 40 SUC in Informatics.
