    Thanks to Eric Martz for pointing out the following grant program from the US National Library of Medicine:
    • Eligible organizations include public and private, non-profit and for-profit institutions engaged in biomedical research, health administration or clinical care, units of State government, units of local government, eligible agencies of the Federal government, foreign Institutions, domestic institutions, and faith-based or community-based organizations.
    • Usually, awards are made three times per year, in December/January, March/April and August/September. Typically, start dates are the same as the award date.
    • NLM anticipates spending approximately $25,000,000 each year in support of this announcement.
    • NLM anticipates making 20-25 new awards each year in this program.
    • Typically, individual awards fall in a range from $200,000 to $400,000 in direct costs.
    • The average amount of recent awards is $280,000 in direct costs per year, for 3 years.
