BACKGROUND

The position is in the Computational Biology Service Unit of Cornell Univesity. The CBSU is part of Cornell infrastructure for biological sciences. It is located in the Cornell Theory Center (CTC)

RESPONSIBILITIES

Collaborate with and provide bioinformatics support for Cornell biology groups. Research area include but are not limited to a) comparative genomics, b) data mining, c) phylogenetic analysis, d) microarray/proteomics data analysis.

REQUIREMENTS

Ph.D. in bioinformatics or a related field is required.
Excellent programming skills with extensive programming experience.
Working knowledge of concepts and terminology in molecular biology, genomics, and related sciences.
