    BACKGROUND:
Applications are invited for a postdoc position in Institut dâ??Investigacions Biomediques August Pi i Sunyer (IDIBAPS), in Barcelona, Spain. The host lab uses in vivo approaches to study transcriptional networks and chromatin modifications to understand the genetic programmes controlling insulin-producing beta cells (http://www.idibaps.ub.es/gpb.htm). The post is funded by a new 4-year Integrated Project of the European Commission to identify therapeutic targets for diabetes (Eurodia). The EU project is formed by European molecular and cell biologists, geneticists, bionformaticians, and developmental biologists.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:
To develop a project that uses computational tools to integrate gene expression and chromatin IP datasets to understand gene regulatory programmes in pancreatic insulin-producing cells. The project will be carried out in IDIBAPS, in collaboration with a bioinformatics lab.

    REQUIREMENTS:
