The successful applicant will be part of an active computational biology lab (http://www.fiserlab.org) and collaborate with experimentalists on a proteomics project in a highly interdisciplinary manner. The goal of the project is to identify potential drug targets in pathogens by conducting computational analysis and modeling of proteins/protein complexes, predicting protein interactions and combining it with experimental data (chemical crosslinking, mass spectrometry, antibody production).

    REQUIREMENTS

PhD level degree in computational biology or other molecular biology oriented research with a strong computational component. Several years of experience in data management, bioinformatics research, a working knowledge of genetics, proteomics research concepts and techniques. Strong familiarity with bioinformatics programs, databases, and applications.
Technical skills should include familiarity with Windows and Unix operating environments, knowledge in object oriented programming, scripting languages.
