Lund University, located across the bridge from Copenhagen Airport, is Scandinaviaâ??s largest institution for education and research. Consisting of 10 internationally competitive research groups and more than 140 people under one roof, the recently established Lund Stem Cell Center (SCC) (http://www.stemcellcenter.se) is already one of the largest in the world. The SCC has a focus on stem cell and developmental biology of the central nervous and blood system, cancer stem cell biology, and development of stem cell and cell replacement therapies in these organ system, as well as research in non-mammalian model systems.DESCRIPTION
Within the EU project Genostem (http://www.genostem.org), we are looking for a Postdoc with a strong bioinformatics background to analyze gene expression data (DNA micoarrays, proteomics) and transcription networks. This person will be a member of the team of Associate Professor Ulrike Nuber (http://www.stemcellcenter.se/groups/nuber / former group leader at the Max Planck Institute for Molecular Genetics, Berlin http://www.molgen.mpg.de/~dna_microarrays/team.html), but will also get support from Professor Carsten Petersson, Head Complex Systems Division (http://www.stemcellcenter.se/groups/Karsten_Peterson).
