Java developer for instrument (medical device)

Position with leading firm. 6 month contract plus position (company large enough there may be other opportunities).

REQUIREMENTS

Solid Pure Java (no web), Processing of Image and Signal Processing. Real time PCR and SDF (see below). Metlab, statistics, computational mathematics, modeling, pattern classification and image analysis. Signal Processing Image and Signal Processing. Develop Algorithms. Desktop Application. The software interfaces with the instruments (device) and pulls data images as well as signals from the instrument receives. Both images and data have to be interpreted. More information engineering skills. E.g. image processing, signal processing, or pattern classification. Instrumentation data algorithm oriented. Candidates need to be able to deal with raw data coming from a medical instrument. The data needs to be filtered, cleaned and transformed before you can do bioinformatics work. I need someone who can work directly on raw data and also do the bioinformatics stuff.
