    This annual regional meeting will be the fifth in a series; previous venues for the conference have been Busan, Korea (2005), Auckland, New Zealand (2004), Penang, Malaysia (2003) and Bangkok, Thailand (2002). One of the main aims of the conference is to bring together researchers and industry from the Asia-Pacific region, to provide a forum for discussion and presentation of results, products, services and to provide perspectives on the future development of the field.
