    DESCRIPTION

    Scionics is looking for a social, intelligent, organized, friendly, and energetic person who will work within the Bioinformatics team at one of our client sites. We need a person who has a sound understanding and quick comprehension of biological problems. He/she has furthermore a strong interest in combining his/her bioinformatics skills with top-level basic research in molecular biology. Your experience in applied Bioinformatics ideally includes

    Genome analysis & Gene Prediction
    Sequence Analysis and Functional Prediction of Proteins
    Phylogentic Analysis
    Structural Biology and Analysis
    Some programming experience (Python or Perl)

    This position is initially not thought to provide an opportunity for independent research but rather offers you the possibility to closely collaborate with top researchers in molecular biology.     Offices are located in Dresden, Germany and all work by this position will occur there.
