DESCRIPTION:
An Oracle DBA with Storage Area Network experience is needed to support state-of-the-art scientific and bioinformatics research at the FDA National Center for Toxicological Research. Research areas include genomics, proteomics, and metabolomics, as well as traditional toxicology studies. Current IT systems utilize Oracle 9i and 10g on IBM AIX 5 and an IBM SAN, as well as some Solaris and Linux. Good PL/SQL scripting skills required.

REQUIREMENTS

BS Computer science or comparable experience
5 years Oracle DBA and Unix experience
Storage Area Network experience
Excellent scripting skills

PREFERENCES

Strong interest in bioinformatics.
Knowledge of Oracle Forms, Oracle JDeveloper and Java.

LOCALE:
The research lab is located in rural Jefferson, Arkansas, about 45 minutes from Little Rock.
