BACKGROUND:
The position of a scientific systems and software manager preferably with bioinformatics background is available at the City of Hope National Medical Center, Division of Immunology’s mass spectrometry facility.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Work tasks will include but are not limited to: Facilitation of mass spectrometric data analysis, database searches, database maintenance, programming of parsers to transfer/convert between various data formats, signal conditioning, automation of work flows and managing of queues for clustered computing, linux cluster maintenance, testing and modification of open-source software for LIMS systems, search algorithms and signal processing software.

REQUIREMENTS:
A suitable candidate should be fluent in C++, Perl, LabView, or other scripting languages, have proficiency in Unix/Linux, Windows and have a profound technical understanding of state-of the art hardware functionality.
US work permit required.

MS or PhD and scientific contributions with bioinformatic focus
