Molecular Graphics Laboratory releases version 1.4.3 of the MGL tools including: PMV, ADT and VISION. Both the binary distributions and source distributions are now available in the newly unveiled Plone based MGL Tools Portal. The platforms supported include LINUX, Mac OS X and Windows.

PMV has added support for rendering secondary structures in DNAs/RNAs. As the first visualization program to use remote APBS calculations for APBS on NBCR clusters, PMV becomes a scalable computing and visualization environment for end users. The ability to read in OpenDX files allows seamless access of APBS results, and allow further rendering of electrostatic potentials on molecular surfaces.
