Bioinformatics Summer Symposium

LOCALE: Australian National University, Canberra, AUSTRALIA
DATES: 4-8 December 2006

THEME: Recent Discoveries and New Challenges

BioInfoSummer combines research and teaching in bioinformatics
  • A summer school for students and researchers new to bioinformatics
  • Introductory lectures in biology on Monday 4 December 2006
  • Introductory lectures in bioinformatics topics every morning 5-8 December 2006
  • Keynote speakers on current research topics and contributed papers in the afternoon
Travel Scholarships available:
  • For students (honours, master, PhD) and early career academics from Australia and New Zealand
  • For students and early career academics from Asia and Latin America
  • Partial subsidy for students and early career academics from places other than the above (e.g., Europe and North America), of up to A$1000
  • Accommodation subsidy for students whose institution belongs to PRIMA

Monday: Introductory lectures in biology (no research papers)
Tuesday: Sequence to Structure
Wednesday: Comparative Genomics
Thursday: Analysis of Gene Expression
Friday: Regulatory Networks
