BACKGROUND AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Bioinformatics postdoctoral positions are available at Boston University, in the group of Prof. Yu Xia (http://people.bu.edu/yuxia). We apply computational techniques to study the structure, dynamics, function, and evolution of complex bio-molecular systems, such as proteins and protein networks. Specific projects include, but are not limited to: genomic data integration and machine learning; modeling and simulation of proteins and protein networks; comparative and evolutionary analysis of proteins and protein networks; protein sequence-structure-function relationships; prediction of protein structure and function.

REQUIREMENTS

The ideal candidates would have a Ph.D. in bioinformatics, computational or evolutionary biology, computer science, statistics, quantitative science or engineering, and have good programming skills. Experience with computational genomics and machine learning is a plus.
