    DESCRIPTION AND EXPECTATIONS

    The Department of Biological Sciences at the University of Maryland Baltimore County (UMBC) invites applications for an Assistant Professor position in the area of Bioinformatics. A successful applicant will be expected to establish a vigorous externally funded in silico research program focused on one or more significant biological problems in the areas of genome biology or proteomics, including interactomics. An interest in developing tools to visualize complex bioinformatics data sets is also desirable. We will consider appointment of qualified candidates at the Associate or Full Professor level.
