    A tutorial and hands-on workshop will be held on 17th November 2006 at the West Bengal University of Technology, India. This tutorial will train the participants in the use of R for statistical analysis of data and understanding of biostatistics. The faculty will be drawn from experts in the area. Since the software is based on an open-source platform and is under the GPL, the participants will be able to carry a copy of the software for their subsequent use.
