RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Systems Biology Laboratory at Miami University, has a postdoctoral position in Bioinformatics/Computational Biology open immediately for studying the molecular evolution of emerging pathogens, especially for influenza virus. The potential research directions include but are not limited to influenza viral fitness, genotype-phenotype correlation, vaccine strain selection, and genotype database construction.

REQUIREMENTS:
A Ph.D. in Computer Science, Bioinformatics/Computational Biology, or related fields is required. Strong algorithm development ability and professional programming skills are essential. Experience with database construction is a plus. Basic biological background will help but is not required.
