    Postdoctoral applications are sought in Systems Biology to work with Professor Jeffrey Skolnick. Available projects include the development and application of novel algorithms to predict protein function on a genomic scale and the integration and systematization of high-throughput data into regulatory, signalling, metabolic and interaction networks.

    Specific areas include large-scale biological simulations, drug discovery and design, and the automated assignment of proteins to known pathways.

    Highly creative individuals are sought with the following qualifications:
    • Very strong background in Cell Biology, Microbiology or Biochemistry.
    • Interest in large-scale analysis and integration of biodata to understand specific biological processes.
    • Extensive experience in developing computer code in languages such as C++, Perl or Phyton.
    • Previous experience doing international quality research in bioinformatics or computational genomics applied to concrete biological problems.
    • A track record of publication in high quality international journals.
      • - Ability to work in a multidisciplinary scientific team, yet think independently.
