BACKGROUND

The National Center of Behavioral Genomics at Brandeis is seeking a highly self-motivated Postdoctoral Research Fellow who is interested in behavioral genomics.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The main responsibility of this position is to develop mathematical and informatics tools for elucidating the sleep mechanism by integrating unprecedented large scales proteomics data of mouse and fly brains with other types of biological data such as microarray, sequences, and high-content screen images. He/she will be part of an interdisciplinary team and should be able to collaborate well with other team members from biochemistry, biology, and computer science.

REQUIREMENTS

A Ph.D. in bioinformatics or a related field (such as but not limited to biochemistry, computational neuroscience, computer science, electrical engineering, molecular cellular biology, physics, statistics, and so on) along with strong analytic skills and proficient computer programming skills is required.
