    DESCRIPTION:
We are working in several application areas of protein interaction networks, and are seeking computational biologists with expertise therein, preferably in one of the following areas:
    • Biological text mining (e.g. network refinement)
    • Pathway or network modeling (e.g. network analysis)
    • Image analysis (e.g. temporal and spatial network aspects)
    • Chemical biology (e.g. for incorporate chemicals)
The projects involve the integration of protein interaction networks with other types of data to increase their resolution and/or to study temporal and spatial network aspects.

    REQUIREMENTS:
The scientific excellence of the postdoctoral researcher should be reflected in a respective publication record. We require the ability to work well in an international team and good communication skills. In addition to expertise in both biology and computation, experience in the analysis of heterogeneous large-scale data and its interpretation to solve concrete biological problems is also desirable.

Further information can be obtained from Dr. Peer Bork: bork[at]embl.de

    CONTRACT:
An initial contract of 1 years' duration with a possibility of extension depending on the availability of funding will be offered to the successful candidate.
