BACKGROUND

Yale University School of Medicine Pathology Informatics is seeking a highly self-motivated Postdoctoral Research Fellow who is interested in bioinformatics/computational biology for research focused on cancer and stem cell biology.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The main responsibility of this position is to develop informatics tools and algorithms related to questions in cancer and stem cell biology based on biological data such as microarray, sequences, including clinical related data. He/she will be part of an interdisciplinary team and should be able to collaborate well with other team members from biomedical clinical and basic research, genomics, and computer science.

REQUIREMENTS

A Ph.D. in bioinformatics, computer science or a related field coupled with background in biology (such as electrical engineering, molecular cellular biology, statistics) along with strong quantitative and analytic skills and proficient computer programming skills is required.
