    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    In this highly visible role, you will lead the development of clinical outcomes measures that will differentiate Stanford Hospital and Clinics and position the medical center as a top performer. Your primary responsibility will be to direct and coordinate our internal and external clinical quality data through the use of relevant statistical analysis reports, biostatistics, and identification of improvement opportunities. We’ll rely on you to lead the use of data to improve clinical outcomes, define and maintain a reporting management strategy, and act as a liaison between the Clinical Analytics Department, Stanford Hospital and Clinics’ strategic services line, and the Information Technology Department. You will also be expected to lead multidisciplinary teams in the identification of clinical outcome measures and support a team of data analysts to provide clinical information.


    REQUIREMENTS:
    We require an MS or higher, preferably in healthcare and outcomes, 3 years of experience working with healthcare data, clinical applications and biostatistics, a background in personnel management, and experience writing business requirements and functional specifications. Experience leading the development of clinical outcome measure and working with multiple medical specialties is essential, along with an understanding of SQL, demonstrated analytical, requirements-gathering, design, communication and problem solving skills, and an understanding of object oriented design, information modeling, UML, data analysis and RDBMS. Five or more years of experience in a healthcare setting is preferred, including experience analyzing healthcare practice data in quality or analytics department in a hospital setting, experience integrating systems into a diverse enterprise environment, coordinating/completing multiple complex tasks, and planning/managing projects, dependencies, team members and timelines.
