The Computational Intelligence Research Unit at the University of the Witwatersrand, Johannesburg, is interested in a Post Doctoral Fellow intending to do research work in South Africa in this fast developing discipline of science.ABOUT US
The computational intelligence research unit is within the Centre for Systems and Control Engineering which resides in the School of Electrical and Information Engineering. The research unit focuses on the modelling of complex systems using computational (artificial) intelligence techniques and modern optimization strategies. There is a wide range of modelling problems for use in decision support systems ranging from machine condition monitoring, militarised interstate conflicts, network intrusion detection systems and modelling of systems in molecular biology.TERMS
The fellowship is initially for one year, renewable to a maximum of three years.COMPENSATION
The fellowship includes a stipend of ZAR 120 000 per year excluding relocations costs.HOW TO APPLY
