RESPONSIBILITIES

Collaborate with multiple Biology laboratories at Cornell University. Research area include but are not limited to a) comparative genomics and phylogenetics, b) proteomics, c) data management for high-throughput genomics projects.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Developing and/or applying appropriate algorithms and software tools to solve computational biology problems.
Developing data processing pipelines for large scale genomics and proteomics projects.
The position is in the Computational Biology Service Unit. CBSU is the Bioinformatics Core Facility of Cornell University. It is located in the Cornell Theory Center (CTC)

REQUIREMENTS

Ph.D. in bioinformatics or a related field is required.
Excellent programming skills with database programming experience. Excellent oral and written communication skills.
