Software Engineer II at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Design, implement and maintain software tools that use computational biology and bioinformatics methods, access inhouse and external databases, and integrate and display data on the fly. Develop a range of web services software that will provide high throughput data sets to the cancer research community. Develop feature specifications, review and document technical architecture, write code, develop unit tests and fix bugs.

REQUIREMENTS

Master’s degree or equivalent with at least 3 years of software development experience. Demonstrated knowledge of Java and SQL.

PREFERENCES

Desirable: Experience with and understanding of concepts and good practice of web services design and implementations. Experienced programming in PERL. Knowledge of Java Servlets, Java Server Pages (JSP), and JDBC.
