    Opportunity: Graduate student position in agricultural genomics and bioinformatics @ UofA, Edmonton, Canada

    BACKGROUND:
    A graduate student position (MSc or PhD) is available to study bioinformatics and genomics at the University of Alberta (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/University_of_Alberta), in Edmonton (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Edmonton), Canada. Applicants should have an undergraduate degree in a field related to biology or computing science, and a keen interest in developing bioinformatics skills. Information about the research interests of our group is available at http://www.ualberta.ca/~stothard/. As part of the bovine genomics program at the University of Alberta, our group has access to advanced computing, genotyping, sequencing, proteomics, and microarray facilities.

    REQUIREMENTS:
    Applicants must have completed a B.Sc. with a minimum GPA of 3.3 out of 4, and applicants whose native language is not English must obtain a TOEFL score of at least 550 (213 for the computer adapted test).

    Edmonton, Canada.
