Submitted by M.N. Manoj; posted on Thursday, February 08, 2007

    "Advanced Topics in Ligand-Protein Interactions"

    LOCALE: Bangalore, India
    DATES: March 8-9, 2007

The program will have an in-depth coverage on concepts of ligand-protein docking, molecular interactions, docking algorithms, parameters and analysis of dock results. Special emphasis will be laid on virtual screening of small molecule databases. The program will also cover elementary linux shell scripting to make the docking protocol and the result analysis easy. The workshop will offer hands-on experience in case studies with relevant wet lab problems (drug discovery) on world class software. Students/faculties in the biotech/bioinformatics/pharma domain are welcome, with prior knowledge of Linux/Unix, and the basics of protein-ligand docking.

    AVAILABLE SEATS: 20
