    Analyzing Affymetrix Gene Expression Data

    LOCALE: Online at Bioinformatics.Org
    DATES: February 26-March 2, 2007

    DESCRIPTION

This course helps to demystify Affymetrix analysis so that any researcher can take the basic steps needed to go from a chip image to a list of genes that are up- or down-regulated in an experiment. It is geared towards researchers who conduct microarray experiments to study genome-wide expression changes and understand the underlying mechanisms of gene regulation in samples of interest. Various tools will be covered, e.g. GCOS, Excel, Matlab, and free tools like R and Dchip.

    SCHEDULE

Each lecture will start at 16:30 UTC and last 2 to 3 hours with a break half-way through it, depending on the topics covered.
