    BACKGROUND:
    The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia is one of the leading pediatric hospitals and research facilities in the world.     RESPONSIBILITIES:
    Multifaceted position requiring applications development and support, data analysis, project support, and database/system management. Independently design, program, test, modify, enhance, maintain, and support applications, with immediate tasks of developing bioinformatics algorithms, tools, and methods for analyzing the large-scale and high throughput genotyping data for copy number changes. Perform bioinformatics analyses for various projects, including data preparation, data analysis, data management, and writing of statistical results. Work on other bioinformatics projects as needed and required. Interact with end-users to facilitate data exchange and data analysis of end-user projects.

    REQUIREMENTS:
    Master’s degree in Statistics, Biostatistics, Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, or related fields. Strong statistical expertise.
    Minimum of 2 years experience in statistical programming in R and/or SAS.
    Experience with UNIX/LINUX required. Biological background desirable.

    PREFERENCES:
    Programming skills in C/C++, Perl, SQL, PHP, and HTML strongly preferred. Experience with genomic data analysis strongly preferred.
    Experience with biological data management preferred. Familiarity with bioinformatics resources and software preferred.

    Regular, Full-Time
