    BACKGROUND

    We seek Post Docs with experience in working with small lab animals, biochemical analysis, cell counting, histopathology and evaluating efficacy of treatments.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:
    • Collaborates and assist the Principle Investigator, Co-investigators and research team in the performance the research study.
    • Contributes to the drafting and submitting of abstracts, manuscripts and reports for dissemination
    • Prepares progress reports on research as required.
    • Analyzes and writes up data
    • Presents complex information effectively to a range of audiences
    • Provide data management assistance
    • Provide project close-out support
    • Supports the following research activities:
    o Performing biochemical analysis, cell counting and histopathology
    o Evaluating efficacy of treatments
    o Experience with tissue culture, and/or liposome technology, and/or small chemical organic synthesis an advantage

    REQUIREMENTS

    Postdoctoral Degree in Biology. Experience with tissue culture, and/or liposome technology, and/or small chemical organic synthesis an advantage. Must have hands-on exp. working in a lab setting. Immediate availability preferred. Must be a US Citizen and be able to pass a National Agency Check (NAC).

    PREFERENCES:
    • Postdoctoral Degree in Biology
    • Health care background and/or degree preferred
    • Knowledge of military system preferred
    • Knowledge of research techniques
    • Demonstrated competence in oral and written communication
    • Experience of working in a research environment
    • Experience of multi-disciplinary working groups
    • Computer skills including knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Access and e-mail
    TERMS: Regular full-time, grant funded, exempt position.

    LOCALE: Walter Reed Army Institute for Research in Silver Spring, MD

    COMPENSATION: $53,000-$65,000 DOE
