DESCRIPTION
At Monsanto, the IT Biotech Functional Lead will serve as a liaison between biotech and IT. This person should be forward looking in all areas with contact to biotechnology including new trends in molecular biotechnology, bioinformatics, sequencing, cloning, transformation and phenotypic evaluation. The successful candidate will be expected to contribute an expert understanding of all Monsanto biotech functional areas and trait teams including molecular biology theory and operation, high through-put capabilities, capacity and forecasting of the transgenic trait pipeline and the interactions between these groups.
REQUIREMENTS:
MS or PhD in Molecular Biology, Bioinformatics, Physiology, Plant Transgenics or Genetics highly desired with related work experience. Candidates with BS degree and comparable work experience may be considered. Candidates must possess experience in molecular biology or related discipline with applied knowledge of product development, a demonstrated expertise in the application of IT tools to product development and demonstrated cross-functional leadership skills.
COMPENSATION
Monsanto offers a very competitive salary with eligibility for annual bonus. The vacation package includes four weeks a year for employees who have been with the company two years or longer.
