RESPONSIBILITIES:
The successful candidate should have a strong background in bioinformatics and computational biology, and preferably direct experience in applied research. While a doctorate is preferred, master’s level candidates with relevant experience will be considered.
REQUIREMENTS:
The candidate should be a confident and efficient Perl programmer and have command of all aspects of SQL. Skill and interest in mathematics, statistics or algorithm design are highly desirable, as are creativity and the ability to think independently.
PREFERENCES:
Experience using and understanding online genomic resources is expected and additional experience with bacterial genomes would be a plus.
