BACKGROUND
The Computational Biology and Biological Physics group at Lund University (http://cbbp.thep.lu.se) is recruiting several postdoctoral fellows (2 + 1 years) in the areas of dynamical modeling transcriptional networks, intercellular signaling and cell growth in plants and processes related to stem cell and cancer biology. In addition to dynamical modeling, bioinformatic efforts will also be involved. Prior experience in the field is desirable. However, in cases of extreme talents, we invite researchers with other backgrounds also to apply.
The group, which is generously funded by prestigious grants from the Human Frontier Science Program and the Swedish Foundation for Strategic Research,is truly cross-disciplinary and interacts seamlessly with and is part of:
- The Lund Strategic Research Centers for Stem Cell Biology and Cell Therapy
- Create Health - the Lund Strategic Center for Clinical Cancer Research (http://www.createhealth.lth.se).
- The Computable Plant Project at Caltech and UCI (http://www.computableplant.org).
REQUIREMENTS
Successful candidates should hold a PhD in Computational Biology /Physics /Applied Mathematics /Bioinformatics /Computer Science or Engineering.
Appointments will be made as successful candidates are identified.LOCALE
Lund University is the largest campus in Scandinavia and is conveniently located within an hour from Copenhagen and its airport
(http://cbbp.thep.lu.se/contact/).HOW TO APPLY
Candidates who are willing to work in an exciting environment on the cutting edge of systems biology, genomics, proteomics and translational medicine are encouraged to apply. Please send a CV, a brief description of previous research and the names of three references to:
