Scientist - Viral Genotyping

RESPONSIBILITIES

Ability to interface with internal clinical operations or external clinical vendors in regards the development of patient data list-sets, and format clinical data .

Scanning and interpreting the recent literature to identify variation in viral genes and signaling pathways that may be involved in viral resistance and disease progression.

Review and analyze various genotyping data, and generation of complex reports which will be utilized in agency required reports, specifically in regards to resistance profiling.

Perform significance of Amino Acid Analysis and co-ordination of assays over several programs (HCV, HBV, HIV) through various stages of clinical development (Phase I-III).

Develop and maintain genotype data tracking system.

Review and audit all external genotyping data and reports to insure data quality.

EXPERIENCE

Phd in Genetics, Molecular Genetics, Virology, , Molecular Biology, or Immunology, with an additional hands on experience in bioinformatics or Biostatistics

Previous SAS, ABI Sequencer software and advanced excel experience

Experience in the viral immergence of resistance, viral genotyping or viral genetics research.
