    BACKGROUND

    IMC/Kevric is seeking a Thesaurus Expert to support our activities at RCDC (Research, Condition and Disease Categorization-formerly KMDC) at the National Institute of Health.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:
    Assist in the development of disease category fingerprints, including intellectual analysis of the disease category for subject content, application of appropriate concepts and qualifiers, and identification of concepts reflecting the main point of a disease category. Lead and manage all aspects of the fingerprinting process.

    REQUIREMENTS:
    Previous experience in scientific coding/indexing; Working knowledge of scientific thesaurus or other structured vocabularies; Ability to derive relevant concepts from source vocabularies; Ability to manage a multidisciplinary team; Organized and deadline driven; MS or MA in related field (technology or life science) or BS in equivalent field.

    PREFERENCES:
    Previous experience with MeSH or CRISP information systems preferred; MS Project a plus.
