    DESCRIPTION

    We would like to invite applications for the position of Bioinformatician using funding from the Wellcome Trust. The post-holder will be part of a team led by Professor Noel Buckley investigating transcriptome and epigenome changes occurring during neural differentiation.

    REQUIREMENTS

    The successful candidate will have a BSc or MSc in Statistics, Computational Biology or equivalent or similar combination of education and experience. He/she will have experience in the application of bioinformatics and biostatistics to complex biological analyses. Familiarity with ChIP-chip approaches and analysis of array outputs, and genome annotation would be preferred. He/she will be expected to deliver an independent research programme aimed at developing computational tools that use genome, transcriptome, epigenome data to generate biological hypotheses for models of neural differentiation.

    COMPENSATION

    Starting salary in the range £26,439 pa to £31,378 pa (inclusive of £2,323 pa London Allowance), depending on qualifications and experience.
