BACKGROUND

A post-doctoral position(2 years)is available at CIC Biogune to join the group of Dr. Rune Matthiesen in the Bioinformatics unit. The Bioinformatics unit works with interpretation of biological data produced at CIC Biogune. The working language of CIC Biogune is English; its many scientific units employ young people from all over the world. The Institute is located in a new building in Technological Park of Derio, just outside Bilbao.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Post-doctoral level research in bioinformatics.

REQUIREMENTS

PhD degree. Candidates should be fluent in English and have experience in C/C++ and statistics.

PREFERENCES

Background in machine learning and image analysis would be an advantage.

TERMS

2 years contract. To commence at the earliest possible date.

LOCALE

The Institute is located in a new building in Technological Park of Derio, just outside Bilbao(Spain).

COMPENSATION

The (gross) salary is 25 560 euros a year.
